Budgeting For Christmas
November 06, 2016

Although there are 52 weeks in a year, many of you will be worrying about how you are going to pay for everything during the Christmas period, from much earlier than October, November or December.

Here at Loan Moneytree, we are used to people requiring wage day advance loans or a wagedayadvance as they are often known in the run up to Christmas and we will be happy to help you out if you require short-term financial support.

If, however, you feel that you will need more than a wage day advance, including some advice, below are a few ways that you can plan ahead and budget for Christmas.

Spend within reason

It is easy to get carried away with Christmas, especially if you have children and want to spoil them.

While it is fun to splash out a little over the holidays it is not wise to overspend if your finances are not the most stable at the moment.

Think about how much food you really need. Did most of it end up in the bin last year?

The same goes for children’s toys, do they really need 4 Barbie dolls and two bikes? Instead of quantity, choose quality. Spend your money on presents that they will truly cherish.

Party at home

Office parties and nights out with friends can be really expensive and the amount of money that you spend in the run up to Christmas may leave you feeling a little less than festive.

Nobody wants to be a party pooper, so decide on which event you really want to go to and enjoy yourself.

If you are a bit of a party animal, why not bring the party to you and have your friends over so that you can cut down costs on food and drink?

Recycle

If you want to keep up with the Jones’ but do not have the cash to do so, then don’t! Decorating your home and outdoor space with Christmas decorations may be fun but it can be expensive, and the costs easily creep up as you insist on buying “just one more light”.

The same goes with clothes—instead of buying a new Christmas wardrobe, why not up-cycle last year’s Christmas jumpers to make them look a little different.

Think glitter, baubles, tinsel and pom pons and you all have lots of fun making your new outfit as well as being able to save cash.

Applying for a wage day advance

If you think that a wage day advance loan will support you financially and you can commit to regular repayments, apply today by filling out our easy online application form.

You need to fill in a few basic details about yourself including the amount that you wish to borrow, and you should have an answer real soon.
